T-Mobile Customers For Sprint

I am a T-mobile customer and a former one of AT&T. I built my case below and I urge you to support this. AT&T will be the death of the mobile competition. That's why I send my support to Sprint in battling this. If Sprint wins the fight, they will be strengthened more so then before in the mobile business.

Sprint will not be a dominate provider, but will keep competition alive in terms of quality of service, better prices, and will set a standard to Verizon & AT&T to follow suit. Ready my case below, visit the Facebook Page, and "Like" it.
Deutsche Telekom announced on March 20, 2011 that it is selling T-mobile USA to AT&T and will "receive 39 billion USD for US-business."

If you were keeping track of T-mobile stock then you knew that the US branch was in trouble.  Deutsche Telekom told the US based branch to "make money or else."  T-mobile did not have a big opportunity as a few months later the German mother ship sold them away.

The rumors was spreading that Sprint would acquire the business then without notice, AT&T closed the deal, awarding Deutsche Telekom $14 billion in AT&T stock and $25 billion in cash.  This will make AT&T the #1 mobile business in America with the most customers and the most mobile towers across the country that Verizon will have difficulty competing and Sprint will be left with one option - sell.

Is the sale of T-mobile USA to AT&T good for consumers?

NO!  Why?

AT&T is overly expensive and it will only get worse.  With a decrease in competition it will give the landline based company power over the consumer.  It already changed the unlimited data plans to the old ways of minutes (like AOL in the 90s).  AT&T now offers 200 megabytes for $15 monthly or $25 for 2 gigabytes monthly only for an additional $10.00 added for each gigabyte you go over.

I don't know about you but I would average 5 gigabytes a month in data.  That's not much with what is required for mobile internet and applications.  That's an additional $55.00 a month on top of your over priced minute plan.

Yes, T-mobile customers will get the iPhone - but is the costs worth it?
Not Really

For one line, you will average $130.00 per month for 900 minutes and only limited gigabytes with additional costs.  Refer to my average - that is 130.00 and that moves up to an estimated $155.00 - consider taxes and extra fees too.  ONE LINE - 1 - Just 1!  Imagine the costs for two lines.

Also, T-mobile customers - BAD NEWS - unless you know how to unlock your current phones, you will have to purchase a new phone through AT&T as they are converting the T-mobile towers signals, still GSM, but no longer the frequency that only T-mobile uses.

AT&T admitted themselves that they will raise the prices on T-mobile customers through offering them smartphones.  That's right!  T-mobile customers, you will not only be offered competitive prices for new smartphones but you will need to sign new contracts and pay the monthly costs that comes with it.

If you are with T-mobile now, you are with them for a reason and AT&T does not factor into that reason.

I am with T-mobile because of the highest rated customer service and low cost phone plans.

Why should T-mobile USA sale to Sprint?

Better phones & low cost.  I will admit, T-mobile never sold quality phones but did acquire the best phones they could at low costs.  Sprint is right next door.

Their plans is unlimited starting at $69.99.  That is unlimited to any mobile phone domestic, unlimited data, unlimited e-mail, and unlimited texting.  Truly Unlimited.

If you need two lines or more, the True Unlimited Plans start at 129.99 for 1500 minutes.  Face it, those minutes are only used if you call a land line phone.  EVERYTHING ELSE IS FREE OF EXTRA CHARGE!

If Sprint were to acquire T-mobile USA, they will not be the largest competitor but a strong competitor – enticing Verizon and AT&T to compete with them which will create a more quality service through prices and technology because they will compete for the money.  The money only exists if they have the numbers.

I am a T-mobile customer and I am doing this because I recognize that the merger of the landline based company AT&T and the mobile business T-mobile USA will create a monopoly allowing AT&T more power to raise prices.  I have no affiliation with Sprint but I recognize that Sprint will struggle and will have no choice but to sell.

If Sprint were to acquire T-mobile - it will continue to have a competitive edge for lowering prices and quality service.

Keep competition alive!  Let’s send a message to the FCC to disallow the sale of T-mobile USA to AT&T.

The Suit Wears Facebook

Today, I am sick.  I am so sick I had been stuck on the computer all day exploring the world of Facebook into a further depth then you can ever imagine.

These new discoveries lead me to this announcement:

I am please to announce that "The Suit" is fully implemented with Facebook.  As long as you have a Facebook account you can "Like" the page to share with your friends and all Facebook members may comment and discuss freely on each of my blogs.

I also started a Facebook page titled "The Suit."  Goto the page and like it.  By doing this you will stay up to date with my blogs on my current social experiment.

Myers 2.0 Project

The social media is dominating the world of business and playing a huge asset in building profit.  I have seen incredible things coming from this but I have one question, is it for every kind of business?

Recently, Myers asked me to rejoin their efforts in making their business grow.  They specialize in funeral services, own four mortuaries, and one cemetery.  The role I am had taken on is the General Service Manager for their cemetery, Evergreen Memorial Park.  My main role is to rebuild a sales team for their cemetery on both at-need and pre-need planning.

Yes, sales is a pain but it pays well if you know how to do it right.

Since this is my second round with the company, I was doing some research to see what I can do different and what Myers is missing.  I wanted to make sales possible without knocking on doors saying, “HEY!  I’m selling cemetery plots, want to buy one?”

I am not mocking the need of selling cemetery plans before someone dies, in fact, I believe you need a solid plan in place so that if something were to happen to you, your family does not have to run around like chickens with their heads cut off.  They can actually do something valuable and that is to spend time with each other while mourning the loss of their loved ones.

My plan is to make Myers viral in Web 2.0.  They only have one competitor in the area who has a facebook page but no valuable information except location and website with 189 followers.

I created a facebook page with location information, news articles, and soon I will have obituaries added to the page.

*Why obituaries?*

The fact is this, the local newspaper industry is undergoing a major change.  They will either close their doors or turn viral.  Less people are reading the newspaper and are turning to the world wide web for almost all their resources.  With facebook’s dominance and revolution I figured it is the perfect location for my Myers 2.0 project.

When any comments, posts, pictures, or videos are added to a fan/business based facebook page, anyone who had “Liked” the page will receive automatic updates from that page.  So I thought, “Why not post obituaries?”  I believe that if you involve the local community on facebook, they can add their comments to the obituary and additional memories.

Also, I am taking advantage of the “Events” tab so I can post local events.  Myers hold annual events at the cemetery but only so many people hear about it.  Since Myers has a strong hold on the community we can increase it by informing them right in their living rooms about these events with hopeful results in increase attendance.

This is only the beginning but we will see how my project turns out.  If all works out well, this will revolutionize the funeral industry.

The Social Media Revolution

If any of you are wondering why I am into this experiment and why blogger, the following video will explain it best.  The social media has been integrated into the PR studies and during this recession, it's the one thing not suffering but continually growing.  This is opportunity.

The Net's Caught Your Pocket

Was this a slap in the face for you or am I out of the loop?  I am not surprised by this move.  Ever since the Democrats had their face slapped several times over this past election they have been pushing unpopular regulations on this country and they will continue to do so until they are out of power.

The new FCC regulation of the internet, called “Net Neutrality,” is no different.  This is an illegal act that the FCC will be enforcing and they do not have the rights or the power to do so.  How was this given to them?  Please, give me the answer because nothing is making sense to me as how or why they are doing this.

(For Your Information - Congress never gave them the rights to do this but many Democrats in the House and Senate are giving the FCC the green light without having a proper vote or any kind of vote.)

The internet was the last democratic source the world had and now, it will be heavily regulated.

I know that they have been telling you that this new regulation is to control the broadband service providers, to create equal data rights for all people, and for them to cease blocking certain sites.  This is supposed to make the internet more open then it is already.

Fact, this is the first forced regulation upon the internet without the voice of the people.  Yes, I believe we can say goodbye to this freedom.  I am still getting facts about this but from what I have heard, this surprise regulation will do what the government has been doing best, destroying the small business and silencing the little guy.

How will this happen?  You know your cable or satellite providers and how they charge you for the “premium” channels like movie channels?  “Net Neutrality” will allow these internet providers to charge “premium” rates for certain sites, if you want to use them.

Do you want to use Facebook and connect to your family or friends?  Well, too many people use that so there’s a fee for that.  Do you want to watch videos on YouTube and listen to what others have to say?  Too many people watch that and use too much data -- yes, there is a fee for that one too.  What about your favorite blogging site or what you write about?  Wait, too many people have the freedom to write their own thoughts -- yes, there is a fee for that one too.

The internet service providers do not have to impose a fee but they will pass the costs on to you, the consumer, for what the FCC will be charging them.

Get the point?

This will destroy the freedom of speech more so then every before.  Any small business on the web, forget about it, you will fail.  Your site will be a “premium” site and only those who pay the price will get to shop - yes, you will see far less viewers.

Enjoy the internet while it lasts because you may be paying for every “free” word you want to say or for every page you want to visit.

Who’s up for the stone age?

Fox Response to Fringe Friday Night Move

In my previous post, "Fox Moves Fringe in Favor of Glee," I have addressed the issue that Friday nights is a death slot for anyshow.  The last successful show on Friday nights, that I can recall, was "The X-Files."  Seeing how Fringe is a resurrection of the popular show with a twist, can it survive the new Friday night line up or is Fox taking the popularity of this show to revive Friday nights?  It would be appropriate that I post Fox's response.

Fox Moves Fringe in Favor of Glee

Fringe, the modern day X-Files, is on the move to Friday nights in it's mid-season premiere. Beginning January 21, 2011 from 9 to 10pm, the show will kick off the first episode entitled "Firefly."

If you have been a fan of Firefly (2002-2003) then you would understand the joke. As soon as they have been moved to a Friday night line-up, the plug was pulled. IT WAS CANCELED! Has it hit you yet? The only other time we heard of the show following the cancellation was the movie to conclude the series, Serenity.

Obviously, the creators of Fringe are trying to make the best of this but fans are expressing harsh disappointment in Fox and even threaten to boycott the network if they cancel this show:
"Not at all surprising. FOX either never pays attention to it's good shows or they don't care about the fan base or how well the show is doing. Moving the show to Friday is a death sentence." - Varoon Deo-Singh
"I wish I could say I was happy about it, but I'm not. I see the beginning of the end. Alas poor Fringe, we hardly knew ye." - Pierce Piper
"If you kill Fringe, I will absolut...ely NOT begin watching another new FOX show, you just have way too much of a history of killing quality television in favor of mindless dreck. If you had good sense, you would put Fringe after House...." - Blair Tarleton
Why is Fox making the move?  My prediction is that it is because of ratings... for Glee.  Because Glee has high ratings they are keeping their time slot therefore moving American Idol to Wednesday and Thursday and moving Fringe to Friday's.  If this is true then we know who Fox's target audience is and it begins with teen.
